We are back in Berlin from our adventurous van trip of several months. Sometimes, you have to get out of your well-known comfort zone, to recognize what you do or use in everyday life and whether the quantities are necessary. For example, we used water much more sparingly during the van trip than we do at home, as it wasn’t always as easily accessible as water from the tap. We used natural body care products to protect the environment. At the same time, by using natural products, we have also noticed how few body care products our body actually needs and were super happy about this finding. We also didn’t need as many clothes as one tends to have in large quantities in the closet. Let’s admit it: in our latitudes, we tend to live in abundance, don’t we? Diseases often arise from “too much” of something. My clients often report that they don’t eat that much of this or that. But what is little for one is a lot for another.
Imagine you live all alone on a beautiful island. You are perfectly well at first because every day you feel the sand under your feet and the warmth of the sun’s rays on your skin, while you breathe in the sea air and hear the sound of the sea. At some point, small ailments such as headaches, skin irritations, indigestion, or the like start and you cannot explain where they come from. Something you used to do, now seems to have lasting consequences. But no one is there to hold up the mirror to help you with your riddle. Because what you think is appropriate, someone else might find too much or too little. Do you understand what I’m getting at? In a group, you can see your consumer behavior in relation to other group members. In addition, as a trained nutritionist, I can guide you to question everyday things that you have previously considered normal.
